Now that Summer is here, or Spring at least, our winter suppers have come to an end. Ruth and I would like to thank all who have contributed to a very successful season. Special thanks to Marie and Mark for their hospitality at the Sweffling White Horse. Throughout the seven months we have supported three local charities (St. Elizabeth’s Hospice, Chapman’s Homeless Charity and EACH) and enjoyed a wide variety of cuisines. A big thank you to all who cooked.
Starting in October with French cuisine, in November six couples met the challenge of Croatian dishes, December saw Caribbean suppers before the challenge of Dutch dishes early in the New Year. In February we were treated to traditional Winter Warmers before Asian flavours in March and finishing off the season with good old Pot Luck.
£138 went to St. Elizabeth’s Hospice, £66 to Chapman’s Homeless Charity in Ipswich and then £210 was forwarded to EACH.
We hope we can continue this community event next year and look forward to seeing you all again after the Summer. Watch out for updates from me as we get closer to next season.
Once again on behalf of Ruth Richardson and me, Kirstin Stanley, a big thank you for your continued support.
